Cool, mellow song by The Montgomery Brothers. If you know jazz, you obviously know Wes Montgomery, but perhaps less known is his older brother, Monk. Monk and Wes are a brother guitar tandem for all time. Monk is often credited with introducing the electric bass to jazz, which was a nice change from the monotonous – albiet silky smooth – standup sound. I’m a huge Wes Montgomery fan, and in my opinion he’s the greatest jazz guitarist of all time. Enjoy the song. I have a feeling Wes will be making an encore appearance sometime this week.
